The Great Belt Fixed Link (Danish: Storebæltsforbindelsen) is a suspension bridge in Denmark , in the strait Great Belt, between the cities of Korsør and Nyborg . The bridge connects the above mentioned cities and the two largest Danish islands - Sjaelland and Fyn. The Great Belt Fixed Link is 18 km long, and it was completed in 1998. A four-lane motorway and a two-track railway were built here. The main bridge span is 1624 m, making it the second longest suspension bridge in the world. The Great Belt Fixed Link has 254 m high pillars, and it is the highest bridge of Denmark .
