It is widely believed that in Grande Serre Chevalier the sky is blue and the sun is shining for some 300 days a year. There are more than 250 km of skiing runs, elevated 1 200 m to 2 800 m above sea. Ther are five snowparks for snowboarders, and a special snowpark, and also 45km cross country skiing trails. The resort is proud of an exceptionally long skiing run - 7 km, Luc Alphand. As in most resorts in this region, you can use the same ski pass in several other resorts which are connected by means of a chair lift or a ski bus. .
Other Activities
If you want to relax or if you feel like something else than skiing in the Grande Serre Chevalier, there is a nice waterpark, an ice rink and also the Arva park. ARVA Park
The ARVA park a special training area where visitors can ski off-piste a they can practice using ARVAs (Avalanche Victim Search Device) . There are necessary safety measures if you decide to leave the marked runs in case that you do not know how to use the ARVA properly. The training is available on your own or in an organised group. Further information is available at Le Bachas Safety Post. The resort offers free training with a ski instructor-guide on Sunday at 12.00 (during French holidays) .
