Frydlant Castle is a beautiful castle and chateau in the Czech Republic
. It is a dominating landmark of the town Frydlant
and a symbol of the whole Frýdlant region in the northern part of the Czech Republic.
About Frydlant Castle
Frydlant Castle is a unique architectural and functional combination of a medieval castle with a Renaissance chateau. The best-known owners were the legendary commander Albrecht of Wallenstein, and the Clam-Gallas noble family, who had the castle premises opened to the public in 1801. There castle offers expositions of porcelain,glass, furniture and castle equipment. In addition, there is a very interesting and rich collection of historic weapons, a gallery with works of Baroque masters, and a unique set of pipes.
