Frankenstein Castle is located in Germany . It is situated near the village of Frankenn, some 5 km south of Darmstadt . The Frankenstein Castle was built in 1250 by Konrad Reiz von Breuberg. In 1292, the original castle building was remodelled in a chateau. Between 1673 and 1734, the chateau was the residence of a German alchemist and nature philosopher, Johann Conrad Dippele. more »
