Its original name was Ibes. Due to the long history, Eivissa offers a variety of historical monuments. The dominating landmark of the city is an old fortress (D'Alt Vila) . Perhaps the most popular clubs are the Pacha, the El Divino and the Space, all of them situated near the airport. There are lots of restaurants and bars, in particular near the port and around streets Calle de la Virgen and Calle Mayor. During the day you can relax on the beach, for example, at the Bay of Talamanca, or you can make a trip by ferry to Formentera Island. The walk around the Eivissa port is very pleasant, too.
