Efteling was established between 1950-1952. It was created by a leading Dutch illustrator Anton Pieck. The park is designed for all ages. Visitors of Efteling will meet with moving fairytale characters. There are many surprises waiting for children not only in the Fairytale Castle, but also on the boat ride through the stories of A Thousand and One Nights. Efteling has been expanding since the 1980s. That is why you can enjoy modern attractions such as a giant Ferris wheels, roller coasters, a revolving observation tower, toboggans and much more. One of the biggest attractions of the park is the largest swing in Europe . Refreshment facilities are naturally available. The park also has a theatre, where tickets are purchased separately.
Efteling is opened from 1 April to 30 October, daily from 10.00 to 18.00 hours. From 10 July to 27 August, it is opened daily from 10.00 to 21.00 hours. During the holidays, there are the so-called "Seven nights": the 24th and 31st July, the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th August and 4th September. On these days is Efteling opened from 10.00 to midnight. An all day ticket costs EUR 29. Children under 4 are admitted free of charge.
