Divjaka National Park is a preserved territory in the western part of Albania, Fier region by the Adriatic coast. It is a unique wetland and important nesting area of birds, spread accross 1250ha. Divjaka National Park was founded 1st January 1996. Its altitude is 10m. The park is a part of Karavasta lagoon protected by Ramsar International Convention since 1994. Divjaka National Park is one of the most important ecosystems in the whole Albania, especially fauna of the park is appreciated and preserved. Rare specie of pelican live here and its local population creates 5% of the world population.
