The little town Dhërmi is situated on terraced area above the beach which is one of the most popular beaches in Albania. Most of tourists arrive just because of the beach. Dhërmi is a favourite place in the Albanian Riviera. It is a picturesque little town, characterized by white houses.
The greatest tourist attractions in Dhërmi are monumental monasteries of St. Virgin Mary and St. Theodor, and ancient churches (Church of St. Harallamb and St. Spiridhon) . Other interesting places are e.g. the Pirate Cave , one of the most significant attraction in the region ever, and the Gjipe Canyon, which is recommendable for a walk. The canyon is ended at the Gjipe Beach which is ranked among the best beaches in Albania . You can approach the cave and the canyon (and the beach) by car or by boat. You can rent a motor boat in the resort.
The sand and pebble beach in Dhërmi is long and wide so it is never crowded. The sea is azure blue and clean. Families with children will appreciate that the sea is easy to access. If you get bored of the beach in Dhërmi , you can visit the nearby Gjipe Beach or the Palasë Beach which is a popular locality among paragliders, too. All three beaches are ranked among the most beautiful and most popular in the country.
The town Dhërmi offers a variety of accommodation facilities. Compared to other resorts in Albania, this locality is little bit more expensive but you can expect better quality. There are several restaurants in Dhërmi which offer mostly Albanian, Greek and Italian meals. In the evening you can have fun in the Havana Beach Bar and Café del Mare Pub.
