The Dartmoor National Park and the surrounding area belong to greatest attractions in southwestern England. The area is characterized by wild moorlands hidden in the fog, which you might recall from the famous story by A.C.Doyle, The Hound of Baskerville. Numerous ancient monuments are scattered here and there, Princetown boast the best-guarded prison in Britain, at the outside parts of the national park you will come across gorges adn waterfalls, as well as typical English village houses with thatched roof. Take photos of wild Dartmoor ponies but do not touch them, especially if you have kids with you - they kick very well.
