The Cumbres de Majalca National Park is situated approximately 45 km from the city of Chihuahua

. It covers an area of 47.72 km². The Cumbres de Majalca National Park consists mainly of pine and oak forests. As far as the local animals are concerned, bears, coyotes, woodpeckers and falcons are worth mentioning. The Cumbres de Majalca National Park was founded in 1939. It is renowned particularly for the unusual rocks created by erosion. These rocks are very popular among climbers, too. Visitors can also visit the local trails suitable for hiking and cycling.
