Costlwolds - Map, Travel Guide

The Cotswolds, a range of hills in southwestern and west-central England, is the country's largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is often referred to as the region where time has stood still for 300 years. The area is well/ known for gentle hillsides called "wolds", water meadows and beech woods, ancient limestone villages and historic market towns, generally considered "typically English". The highest point in the Cotswolds range is Cleeve Hill to the north of Cheltenham, the region offers excellent conditions for outdoor activities like hiking, cycling, fishing,golfing and horse riding. Among biggest atrractions are e.g. the Birdland at Bourton-on-the-Wate and the Avon Valley Steam Railway.
