The Cordillera de Talamanca Mountain Range is a mountain range located at the border of Costa Rica
. A large part of the mountain range is a part of the La Amistad
International Park. The Cordillera de Talamanca Mountain Range is proud of the highest mountains of both neighbouring countries - Cerro Chirripo (3,819 m) and Cerro de la Muerte. Much of the Caribbean area of the Cordillera de Talamanca Mountain Range is, in fact, unknown, unexplored. Numerous endemic species have been identified in this region. The prevailing forest stand is the oak tree. The bushes and the grass is resistant to frost up to the height of 3000m above sea.
