Ciechocinek Salt Tower is built of wood. The base is a wooden structure which is stuffed with brushwood. Salty water flows down the brushwood, and due to the effects of the wind and the sun, a part of the water evaporates and the mineral salts get caught on the walls. As the result, people may inhale the salts in natural conditions. The water is drawn up to the top of the tower from the water source No. 11 (Fountain Grzybek) .
Ciechocinek Salt Tower is 15.8 m high. It consists of three parts. Its design - the horseshoe - was an idea of Jakub Graff, a professor of the Mining Academy in Kielce . The first and the second parts were built between 1824 and 1828, the third part was added in 1859.
Ciechocinek Salt Tower is accessible around the year. The upper part is only open from spring to autumn, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission: 3 PLN ( adults) and 2 PLN (children) .
