The Champvent Castle is a medieval fortress from the 13th century. It is located on the southern outskirts of the village Champvent

, in the canton of Vaud. The castle is a beautiful landmark of the area, unfortunately it is not publicly accessible. The Champvent Castle was probably founded by Henri de Champvent in 1250. The family was very respected in the region and had its own coat of arms. Throughout history, the castle had changed owners several times, when finally the family Doxat of Yverdon bought the castle in 1771. It has remained in their possession until today.
Champvent Castle stands on a wooded hill above the village Champvent. The castle has a square base, and it is dominated by four corner towers. The inside walls consist of buildings and a chapel.
