The Budapest Amusement Park (Budapesti Vidámpark) is situated in the city park Városliget in Budapešť in Hungary . It is situated opposite to the Thermal Resort Széchenyi , near the Zoological and Botanical Gardens in Budapest . The Park occupies 6.5 hectares. The Budapest Amusement Park offers over 50 attractions. Five of them are considered a historical monument. The very first park with attractions was established probably before the end of the 18th century already. The oldest, still fully operated attraction is the carrousel with horses and coaches (1906) and the little railway in a cave. The wooden roller coaster and fairy-tale boats were installed in 1922. The Budapest Amusement Park offers children under 10 a mini amusement park and a children garden..
