Buchlovice Castle is located in the
Czech Republic in the town
Buchlovice . It is situated at the foothills of the Buchlovské Hills where a majestic
Buchlov Castle was built. Jan Detrich of Petřvald had the Buchlovice Castle built at the end of the 17th century. The interior and the present appearance of the chateau comes from the period around 1900. At that time it was an Austria-Hungarian diplomat Leopold Berchtold who had the chateau rebuilt to the representative residence. There is a beautiful Baroque garden and a vast English park next to the chateau. Appart from the interiors, the garden and the park, the Buchlovice Castle can also offer a wine gallery, various thematic exhibitions and cultural events. The chateau is open to the public in April and October only at weekends. From May to September it is open every day except Mondays.
