The Broumov Walls can be seen in the northeastern part of the Czech Republic , above the town Náchod , in the Broumovsko Nature Reserve. They are a 12 km long woody edge. In 1956, they were declared a National Nature Reserve. One of the most unique formations are called Slavěnské hřiby. These rocks, created by irregular weathering, remind us of mushrooms (hřiby) . You can find them above the village Slavný. Part of the Broumov Walls is also the lookout Hvězda with a restaurant. The Broumov Walls are accessible from both sides. From the southwestern side, it is possible to use the parking place in the village Slavný or the one in the village Machov. From the parking place, you will have to walk. From the Broumov side, you will have to leave your car in Křinice, Martínkovice or in Božanov. Tourists coming from this side must overcome a higher elevation..
