The Botanical Garden and Arboretum Štramberk is a young botanical garden in the Czech Republic . It lies in the western part of the city Štramberk in the Moravian-Silesian Region. That is why before the planting of flowers the dross material from the field had to be taken away, and the rest of the dump had to be cleaned up to its basis. The Botanical Garden and Arboretum Štramberk is currently a home to many rare plants, such as common butterwort, marsh helleborine, german tamarisk and others. Many animal species live in the Botanical Garden and Arboretum Štramberk. The rarest animals are: apollo butterfly, tree-frog, green toad, or blue-winged grasshopper. The Botanical Garden and Arboretum Štramberk is the only place in the Czech Republic , where the wall lizard occurs. It lives in the Upper Quarry. You can get to the Botanical Garden and Arboretum Štramberk from the Štramberk railway station along the Lašská Nature Trail. The journey from the railway station to the Botanical Garden and Arboretum Štramberk takes about 45 minutes..
