The territory of the Borek Rocks is approximately 30 ha. The Borek Rocks were created by gradual erosion of a sandstone plateau. We can find here several caves that were inhabited in the past. The rocks on the edge are quite rugged, and they offer many places with a nice view of the surroundings. Rock climbing is prohibited. Tourists do not visit this place very often, so you will find here more privacy than in the nearby Prachov Rocks or in the Hruboskalsko Rock Town. The blue tourist trail leads through the Borek Rocks. It goes past Čechov's Lookout, which offers a lovely view of the ruins of the Trosky Castle and of the tourist area of the Bohemian Paradise .
The name Borek Rocks comes from the name of the hill Bor - the highest point of this territory. It stands at an altitude of 360 m. There has been a tradition of the "Fairytale Forest" every May since 1990. It is a tourist event offering entertainment and attractions for children. The best starting point for a journey to the Borek Rocks is either the village Borek with a railway station, or from the town Rovensko pod Troskami , where is also a railway station, a unique bell tower and a tourist information centre.
