Biserica Neagră

Dominant of the city, whose towers rise to the skies like a lineup of daggers. The church has been built almost whole century (1385-1477) and its name refers to black walls, remains of the big fire. Although the interiour is shiny white, brighted by varicoloured turkey carpets hanging up in the walls of aisle. This wonderful collection is composed of local businessmen presents, that used to travel to Orient. It seems, that disharmony of islamic prayer carpets and the strict lutheran interiour doesn´t matter anybody. Wednesdays are there organ concerts organized. The organ consists 4000 fluepipes.   Edit »
