Do you know how many times the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed changed hands in the wars between the Scots and English between the 12th and 15th centuries ? Fourteen times! This little town in the United Kingdom is situated in England (Northumberland), app. 80 km (50mi) from Edinburgh, and due to its position at the mouth of the river which divides the two nations it used to be strategically vital.
