Balos Beach lies in the northwest corner of Crete , Greece . It is a lagoon, which recalls similar lagoons in the Caribbean. Balos Beach offers a stunning view of the crystal-clear, azure-coloured sea in combination with white sand. You can get to Balos Beach either on a dirt road by car or motorbike, or by a ship that will take you directly to the beach. The cruise ships leave from Kissamos , as well as from other places. Balos Beach is completely natural, it is not maintained and there are no taverns, parasols or deck chairs. This site is one of the most beautiful parts of Crete and of wholeGreece .
