The cave was already inhabited in the prehistoric times. The remnants of tools and the skeletal remains prove this fact. The Balcarka Cave is a complex system of two height levels linked by high domes. It boasts with a beautiful stalactite decoration with numerous karst phenomena. An extensive reconstruction of the Balcarka Cave began in 2007. During the reconstruction, the old wiring system and the remnants of the former accession works were removed. New pavements and railings were built. The Balcarka Cave was re-opened in July 2009.
The length of the tour route is about 800 m, and it takes about 60 minutes. In front of the cave entrance is a parking place. The admission fee is 100 CZK, the reduced price is 50 CZK, and 80 CZK for retired.
