The water in the spring is thermal and slightly sulphurous. On the main square, there is the baroque Horváth's House, where the first St Ann's Ball took place in 1825. This popular event takes place annually in the city. There is an interesting museum in the house that was once owned by the writer Mór Jókai. Near the museum, there is the neo-classical round church from 1846. In Balatonfüred, you can also visit the Red Church from the 18th century and the White Church from 1829.
