The park covers the area of 4.5km2 out of which 1.6km2 has been projected in an English style. It lies in the city Winnipeg in Manitoba province. Assiniboine Park includes the zoological garden, historical pavilion, gardens, forests and an outdoor theatre. The park has its own miniature railway nearby the zoological garden. The English gardens were created in 1826-1927 and they are famous for thousands of blooming plants, rare bushes and trees. The large Pink Garden with more than 400 bushes of various species of roses is divided into four parts. The neighbouring forest is famous as a recreational area suitable for trekking and biking.
