Aquarium Finisterrae was opened for public in 1999. Currently there are more than 600 underwater species there. The Aquarium has many exposition rooms. The "Sala Maremágnum" room offers an interactive exposition on everything about the Atlantic Ocean. There are aquariums with hundreds of fishes. In "Sala Humboldt" we can learn something about various world seas. If you would like to experience the famous Nautilus of Captain Nemo (a character in Jules Verne novels) , go to "Sala Nautilus". An interesting exposition on octopuses is in the "Octopus Garden". Aquarium Finisterrae also has the "Sala Isabel Castelo" room with beautiful photos of nature on display as well as a room dedicated to plants growing along the Galicia seacoast. You should definitely not miss out the aquarium where you can touch selected marine species.
