The park covers an area of 200 km² - mostly forested valleys with fascinating waterfalls and rivers rich of trout. One can also admire mountain meadows, which are inhabited by wild goats, deer and marmots. There are also some rare species of fauna and flora such as traditionally respected juniper trees and extremely rare snow leopard. The altitude of mountain ranges varies from 1500m to the highest point of 4895m. In an altitude of 2100 m there is a base camp, which is the starting point of hiking trails through the park.
