The Aggtelek National Park and Karst Area is well-known for the famous cave system called Baradla. There is also another cave system Szabadsag, about 10km long. In 1995, the karst caves were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Both caves systems have been made available to the public. The Aggtelek National Park and Karst Area is interesting not only for its underground but also for the above ground with numerous hiking trails.
